Seafret Digipak & Magazine- Focus Group

Audience Feedback:

‘I thought the use of the faded filter creative something vintage and nostalgic about the album cover and in the background of the magazine advert, I liked the creativity of this and really represents the alternative genre.’

‘The use of the colour blue throughout their digipak and magazine advert creates synergy within the products and also reflects the melancholy tone of the music video, which I thought was quite creative.’

‘I liked that the girl on the front cover who was also starred within the music video represents the album cover, as emphasises that ‘oceans’ is a key song within their album and sets the mood for the rest of their music in the album’

‘The use of the faded colour blue, is really aesthetically pleasing and is an iconic colour which is also used in the magazine advert’

‘Using images on the album which are not linked to the band emphasises the creativity with the use of art and imagery rather than self-promotion.’

What I learnt?

·     Images which are taken, in relation to the meaning and art of the music alternative bands are trying to convey can be seen as a common feature within modern alternative bands who have a niche audience. This has inspired us to take a more creative and authentic path towards the making of our music video.
·     The faded film is quite creative and I think we would like to use this within our music video to produce a more vintage authentic product.
Colour is very important and reflects the tone within the music video, and we want to use colour to portray a positive outlook however we also want to
